You have to show it through your actions. You have to show that you can be a leader of the team on and off the field.”

Even though South Korea didn’t win, Son Heung-min stood by his words.

However, in a national team game, where you have to play as a “one-man team,” it’s best for everyone to play well. Relying on one player is not the way to win.

“Despite dominating possession, South Korea were limited to mid-range shots from captain Son Heung-min and Hwang In-beom,” the BBC wrote. Hwang In-bum, who started alongside Son Heung-min, broke the deadlock in the 14th minute with a mid-range left-footed shot.

South Korea will play Saudi Arabia on Sept. 13 at St. James’ Park in Newcastle, England, in their second September A match. In this match, Klinsmann’s side will need to play better than they did against Wales.
