온라인바카라Sitting at the bottom of the league, the Samsung Lions look to turn things around in the ‘promised land’ of Pohang.
Playing their first midweek game in July, the Samsung Lions will host the fifth-ranked Doosan Bears, who have won two straight, in a three-game series at Pohang Baseball Stadium from 4 July.
Samsung, which has been using the Pohang Baseball Stadium as its “second home” since its opening in 2012, has been strong in Pohang, posting 40 wins, one draw and 18 losses for a winning percentage of 0.690.
After not visiting Pohang for three seasons from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Samsung returned to Pohang on 26 July 2022, 1,043 days after their last visit on 18 September 2019 against LG Electronics, and rebounded with a 1-1 draw in a three-game series against the Hanwha Eagles, eventually finishing with a 5-4 record in their remaining 53 games.
Samsung travelled to Pohang with the threat of finishing in last place for the first time since its inception, but the pressure is also on as they face a Dusan side led by Lee Seung-yup, who has many fond memories of Pohang.
Lee has fond memories of playing for Samsung in Pohang, where his team’s record was over 7-0 and he hit his 400th career KBO home run in the city, so he will be hoping to carry the momentum of his playing days into the Pohang series and restore his team’s 5-0 record.
Daegu Cultural Broadcasting will broadcast Games 1 and 2 of the three-game midweek series on Standard FM (96.5MHz) radio from 6.15pm as Samsung looks to extend its winning streak in the promised land of Pohang for the first time in over a month.
