The Gimcheon Sangmu Professional Soccer Team’s under 18 (U-18) team will participate in the ’24th Baegungi High School Football Championship’ held in Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do from the 14th. The 24th Baegungi High School Football Tournament is hosted by the Korea Football Association, Gwangyang City, and the Gwangyang City Sports Association, and supervised by the Jeonnam Football Association and the Gwangyang City Football Association. 39 high school teams, including the professional soccer team youth team and general high school soccer team, will participate.
This competition will be divided into 10 groups (9 groups of 4 schools, 1 group of 3 schools). The group stage is based on a full-league system, and the rankings are determined in the order of points, wins-and-losses, and goal loss. 1st and 2nd place in each group advances to the tournament. 1st place in the group goes directly to the round of 16, and 2nd place in the group goes to the round of 20.
The Kim Cheon Sangmu U18 team, assigned to Group C, will play against Taeyang FC U18 on the 14th, followed by Yongmun High School and Jucheon High School. There are a total of 10 groups, and the first place in each group advances to the round of 16. The 2nd place team advances to the round of 20. The venue for the match is a soccer field.
